Project Overview

The client brief was to design a 10x10 cm circuit to be fitted inside a thermostat. The design of the thermostat should be minimal such that it would be compatible with the aesthetics of the interiors.

We started the research following the client brief for this B2B product. I designed a questionnaire for our clients- OYO primarily to understand the expectations the client has for the product.

Thermostats work by making your AC smarter. ACs are pre-set to work with hot and humid weather and works quickly, constantly. We can help it know better. We read the climate, the room and its temperature, to save up to 50% of the energy, and therefore, the costs and in the case where it is hot and humid, we’ve still got you covered.

Thermostats are Wi-Fi enabled. This means that it uses the internet to connect to your phone and makes it your new remote. The only difference is that this remote works from anywhere, and your thermostat knows it. It knows when you leave and will turn off the AC, so you don’t waste energy. And it knows to cool things down again when you’re coming back. All so that when you arrive, everything’s perfect.
